Whitbread – 2015 Strata Community Awards
Strata Management can sometimes be a thankless job, however the Strata Community Association in conjunction with a raft of sponsors each year hold an entertaining evening where a number of category of awards are issued to deserving companies and individuals for their ongoing hard work in the industry and their roles within their company.
This year our own Debbie Montibeler was fortunate enough firstly to be nominated for the category of Strata Manager of the Year, and secondly to be one of 3 finalists from many submissions for this category.
The finalists were announced on the 29 June 2015 so it was a long nervous wait until the night of the awards dinner on the 17 July 2015.
It was an elegant black tie event held at Doltone House, Darling Island Wharf where a sumptuous 3 course meal was presented to all and the night MC’d by the hilarious Peter Berner who was at his funniest all night.
With the Strata Manager of the year category being the last one to be announced for the night, we were all nervously waiting on the table sponsored by StrataMax, the nominations were called out and a huge cheer went out from our table when Debbie’s name was called.
Waiting for the winners name to be called we all had our fingers crossed, only to hear Lauren Shaw’s name called out.
A big congratulations to Lauren on her win, but an even bigger congratulations to Debbie for her nomination and being a finalist for this most prestigious Industry award.
There is always next year and a bunch of other awards that we can enter for now that we have our own Strata Management business to run.
